Face time

In need of a facial, or massage? I know I am! Here are some of the best places I know of around Brussels.

Karen Sammon Skincare Center is run by Karen, a lovely Irish woman, who offers great facial and body treatments, along with her skincare wisdom. Manicures, pedicures and waxing also available. She uses Dermalogica products, which are also on sale in the shop. Gift certificates for this place are a great gift for anyone who works/lives in the EU district. Open to 21:00 on Tuesday and Friday.

Rue Franklin 147 (Schuman area)
1000 Brussels

Recommended by my friend, Louise Heaven Beauty Center is a little slice of paradise in Uccle. The owner, Françoise, provides free consultations without appointment. Her specialty is anti-aging and peeling treatments.  Open to 18:30 on weekdays (closed Wednesday).

Avenue De Fré 219
1180 Brussels
Tel: 0474 60 38 02

Serendip Spa is another popular address. Located in the Louise shopping area, this is full service, Asian-inspired spa that offers massages, facial treatments and even yoga classes. The adjacent boutique sells hand-picked beauty products from around the world. Serendip is run by Claudia Zackariya-Dau, who is trained in yoga, shiatsu and herbalism. This Friday, 16 September, they are holding  a launch event from 18:00 to 20:00, including free mini treatments. Sounds like a good idea before a night out!
