“Lucky” for me, we have access to all the RWC games on our home TV so my husband and his friends have taken over the couch for the next few weeks. If you’re not so fortunate, or want an excuse to drink before noon, check out any of these bars to watch your favorite team.
Kitty O’Shea’s – 42 Boulevard Charlemagne
Come here to hang out with a crowd of enthusiastic rugby supporters. The bar has two large screens, although not the highest quality, and usually plenty of seats (or least good standing room). It’s easy to reach – just beside the Schuman metro stop (Berlaymont exit). They also serve a brunch during Sunday’s games.
Michael Collins – Rue Bailli 1
Located on the corner of Avenue Louise and Rue Bailli, this is one of the better Irish pubs in Brussels. Somewhat awkward screen placement for watching matches but good food and service.
Fat Boys – Place du Luxembourg 1-6
An American style sports bar, Fat Boys shows most major events including RWC. They serve food all-day and have several screens throughout the bar. They’ve recently opened a second location on Avenue Cortenbergh near Schuman.
