In typical Belgian style, we have experienced a pretty dreadful summer, and are now blessed with a few warm days in late September. If you have time, get out to one of the many parks in Brussels to enjoy this Indian Summer weather. You never know how long it will last! Here are some of the best parks around town for an evening stroll this week.
Bois de la Cambre – very popular park situated at the top of Avenue Louise, which is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in Brussels. Visit the Chalet Robison restaurant on an island in the pond (accessible by boat for €1) for a drink or dinner. Others in the know seem to agree on this one.
Parc de Woluwe – frequented by the locals who live in the area, this park is less crowded than Bois de la Cambre and boasts a lovely pond with ducks and swans.
Parc du Cinquantenaire – great place to stop on your way home if you work in the EU district. The gravel path around the perimeter of the park is ideal for a run or walk, anytime of day.
