I’m travelling this week so apologies for the lack of a “real” post today. As it is Friday, I have to say something about food however.
I’ve just learned that Yelp, the community-led local search site started in the US, has launched Yelp Belgium. This is a helpful site where locals can share their opinions about local businesses and services. I’ve used in mainly to look up reviews of restaurants and bars in the past, but it also includes opinion on hotels, stores and hair salons, among other topics. There are already several restaurant sites in Belgium like Resto.be and Sensum, but the reviews aren’t always that reliable. We’ll have to wait and see if Yelp becomes a good source of information, but hopefully the contributions will be helpful. Yelp’s free iPhone and Android applications will also be made available in Belgium.
Wishing everyone a good weekend and happy eating 🙂
