This week is all about the deals. Don’t be fooled – I’m not always very thrifty (as my husband can attest), but there is something wonderful about finding a bargain. I’m also into making money from cleaning out my closet. Hey, someone’s trash is someone else’s treasure.
The Belgian sporting goods chain Decathlon is holding its bi-annual Trocathlon event from 14 to 21 October. (What is it with Belgians and the word troc?) If you’re looking to get rid of an old bike or tennis racket, head on down to the Anderlecht store. On on-site expert will evaluate the equipment and offer a price to the seller. In return, you’ll receive a voucher in the amount of the sale, valid for six months at any of the Decathlon stores.
If on the other hand you’re looking for something new, used items will be on sale between 15 and 22 October. Everything will be an additional 20% off on the last day of Trocathlon.
My mission this week – sneak out of the house with those old, unused golf clubs in our basement…
