You may have noticed from the various film references on this blog that I have a thing for movies. I mean what’s better than a great story wrapped up in two hours that transports you to another world, teaches a lesson or just simply entertains? We have a pretty decent selection of movies in Brussels, including most major English and French releases, as well as independent and art-house cinema. However, I don’t always want to pay €10 per person, especially if I’m not sure I’ll like the movie. So I’m all for finding cheaper tickets.
I recently discovered the site Arsène 50, which offers discounted tickets to cultural events, including movies, concerts, plays and festivals around Brussels. The site only has tickets available for events the same day and for the next day (as of 6pm), so it’s a great place to check if you’re looking for something to do this evening.
For today, Arsène 50 has tickets for only €5.50 to several movies at the Adventure Cinema, a small but colorful cinema located downtown. Here are my picks for films to go see, some of which are currently playing in the larger UGC cinemas.
You can buy tickets from Arsène 50 either in person (2-4 Rue Royal) from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:30-5:30pm or online from 2:00-5:30pm. Tickets for Sunday and Monday are sold on Saturday. There are a restricted number of seats available via the service, so check the site early. No reservations by phone or email. You can also sign up for their newsletter so you don’t miss any deals!
